This is true for most of North America. I never thought I would hear the questions "What the hell is Lancaster?" or "Isn't Leeds in Ireland?", but never underestimate ignorance.
Aha! Yes! To be fair, I wouldn't know the US places that well either. I know I used to think the capital was New York when I was a little kid.

I have more but they actually fit the majority of southerners such as we enjoy muddin (driving around in mud), fried chicken and cold beer, we love our country fiercely and we love our guns/knives/bows/explosives.
I'm familiar with a bunch of these.. And can say that the southern states are pretty nice!
One I used to hear a bunch (and still do) is that they like gas-guzzling cars... SUVs, hummer's etc

There's an element of truth in that (hey, gas is wayyyy cheaper in the south!)
