Post your country's stereotypes #1
I've been analyzing cultural contexts for my class recently, so I thought it would be fun to share the stereotypes of everyone's countries.

I'm slightly annoyed at how accurate this is, though.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

Related, I came across this clip on the same page. Don Cherry is my spirit animal.

I'll expand based on my experiences living in the US:
- They think we all live in London, Manchester or Liverpool (they have no idea how far apart those are).
- Accent = Intelligence
- We are sophisticated
- We know all of their weird TV shows (no offence, but the US has a LOT)
- It is always raining (element of truth, but not always true)
- We are reserved (go to any British pub and be shocked by how untrue that is)

I could go on forever Wink

This is true for most of North America. I never thought I would hear the questions "What the hell is Lancaster?" or "Isn't Leeds in Ireland?", but never underestimate ignorance.
