Some time ago(Like 2 years) I used to use Linux for hacking and I didn't know what I was doing...
I was just copying and pasting commands. It looked hard and I didn't bother learning anything.
9 months ago I was forced to learn Linux because I had bought a raspberry pi.
After administrating my pi for 9 months I learned a lot. The knowledge helped me understand what an operating system is and helped me with exploiting servers. I started hating windows for it's lack of commands, customization and shitty software installers.
I started using CygWin because I love it when everything is in one place and you don't have to search for alternative programs.
