RE: Stepping up my security #11

I don't know if anyone here have ever heard, but for about 4 months ago RazorCrypt (A crypter which mainly was sold over HF) was taken down.  The owner Razor was involved in credit card fraud among other ventures, and was basically raided at his spot. His computer with all the account information about the customers and such was taken from him by the police, and he is now under arrest, as well as many of the customers as well. Razor's actions caused everything to collaps. All of the customers were raided too I think. Everyone that had bought RazorCrypt had to give their computer's to the police, which is how many of the customers is jailed today worldwide.
I was JUST about to buy RazorCrypt one day. It was CHEAP and vouched! I was almost done filling in the account information when I realized I was $1 too short... I was broken and angry since I didn't have enough money for it..
So the time went and that happened. It got me to realize that I would probably have been jailed today with what the police would've found on my computer.

So today I started a new chapter.
I backed up many important and most likely illegal files to an USB I have, and restarted my computer COMPETELY. I was also a customer of KFC watermelon (the owner of Luminosity Link, the rat). Don't get me wrong. He's a great guy. I trust him with all I have, but being jailed in the future is not worth it. I got him to delete my license and remove me from his servers COMPLETELY. Even though I spent $40 bucks on his tool and I spent 4 months making these money.. Being 15 year old and being jailed for this in 5 years is again not worth it.

Now I'm here. Nothing on my computer and an important USB.
I can't say I regret.
I'm glad that I've done that.

Hey man. A few years ago I was pretty much like you. I was really into "hacking" back then, and enjoyed the rush of power I'd get by bypassing, breaking, or destroying someone else's property. But its really not worth it. Back then I did a lot of stupid shit, and looking back now I'm incredibly grateful nothing came back and bit me in the ass. The malicious blackhat dumbfuckery so many kids are involved with these days is incredibly dangerous, and can have really consequences. Think you're anonymous or secure? Think again. Even disregarding data persistence and physical security threats, I guarantee you have, at some point, transmitted dangerous information in the clear. That info's still out there somewhere, and it can come back to haunt you.

But don't let me scare you away if hacking is where you passions lie. Information security is a huge field, and in my brief brushes with it I've discovered how much fun it can be for people like myself. So go ahead, get yourself a raspberry pi or something else than can run linux and go wild. Setup a webserver and see how it responds to DoS. Get SET (social engineering toolkit) up and running and learn how phishing works. If you're interested in viruses, trojans or RATS, learn c++ (or C or java or c#...) and try to build one. If you're interested in physical security, download ophcrack or KonBoot and see how easy it is to break into a encrypted computer. Think about all these flaws, and how you can fix them. Watch DEFCON videos and learn how pros deal with this in practice.

tldr: The world of "hacking" is huge, and awesome. Go wild, have fun, but don't put your future at risk by doing stupid illegal shit.
Pay respects to the malformed SYN packet.
