Stepping up my security - Cosvo - 08-14-2016 In the past months I've had this in the back of my head. I have been thinking and thinking and thinking. I don't know if anyone here have ever heard, but for about 4 months ago RazorCrypt (A crypter which mainly was sold over HF) was taken down. The owner Razor was involved in credit card fraud among other ventures, and was basically raided at his spot. His computer with all the account information about the customers and such was taken from him by the police, and he is now under arrest, as well as many of the customers as well. Razor's actions caused everything to collaps. All of the customers were raided too I think. Everyone that had bought RazorCrypt had to give their computer's to the police, which is how many of the customers is jailed today worldwide. I was JUST about to buy RazorCrypt one day. It was CHEAP and vouched! I was almost done filling in the account information when I realized I was $1 too short... I was broken and angry since I didn't have enough money for it.. So the time went and that happened. It got me to realize that I would probably have been jailed today with what the police would've found on my computer. So today I started a new chapter. I backed up many important and most likely illegal files to an USB I have, and restarted my computer COMPETELY. I was also a customer of KFC watermelon (the owner of Luminosity Link, the rat). Don't get me wrong. He's a great guy. I trust him with all I have, but being jailed in the future is not worth it. I got him to delete my license and remove me from his servers COMPLETELY. Even though I spent $40 bucks on his tool and I spent 4 months making these money.. Being 15 year old and being jailed for this in 5 years is again not worth it. Now I'm here. Nothing on my computer and an important USB. I can't say I regret. I'm glad that I've done that. - Cosvo

Unless your good.No I'm good ![]() My license is removed as well all my logs. Someone else I know have done this too. KFC is a polite guy ![]() And I don't get how that is a horrible way to protect myself? I shutdown all my active servers as well as deleting all my logs. I don't believe there is anything else I can do other then changing my network settings. But I won't touch that. My ISP will start asking me questions. But I am good RE: Stepping up my security - sleaze - 08-14-2016 how the fuck is it 2016 and people are getting v& and STILL NOT USING FDE RE: Stepping up my security - roger_smith - 08-14-2016 (08-14-2016, 06:34 PM)Cosvo Wrote:(08-14-2016, 06:17 PM)rm -rf / Wrote: Just an fyi they can most likely still recover files yo uhad wiped. Unless your good.No I'm good I'm assuming by "restarted your computer completely" or wtf-ever you said you mean you reinstalled your Windows OS.... Your terminology alone shows that you don't know what you're doing. Look up the term "data remanence" and tell me how secure you feel now. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If someone "giving you their word" that they did something to remove evidence that could potentially implicate you in federal crimes gives you the warm fuzzies, you need to stop now before you get hosed hard. You're clearly far too young to end up having your life completely fucked up for being stupid. RE: Stepping up my security - Nyx - 08-14-2016 If you really want to start from scratch and make sure you're secure, take your hard drive, cook it in your oven, smash it with a bat and then drop it in a lake, then buy a new hard drive and reinstall your OS. Professionals can recover your data even if you try to wipe it. If you tell me that you put it in your Windows Recycling Bin and then emptied your recycling bin and think that all the data that you put in there is gone you're an idiot. RE: Stepping up my security - Nil - 08-14-2016 Can you explain to me why the customers of RazorCrypt were raided? How is it within their rights to raid everyone who legitimately bought a legal software unless I'm missing something? I believe only the poeple that had made payments through their credit cards got raided. But again, english isn't my first language so with raided I mean that the police came to their house an took their computer as well as they told them that the owner of razorcrypt had logged their credit card details. With "raided" I don't mean that a swat team bust in their house haha .. But I think that that happened to Razor.
