And I don't get how that is a horrible way to protect myself? I shutdown all my active servers as well as deleting all my logs. I don't believe there is anything else I can do other then changing my network settings. But I won't touch that. My ISP will start asking me questions. But I am good

I'm assuming by "restarted your computer completely" or wtf-ever you said you mean you reinstalled your Windows OS.... Your terminology alone shows that you don't know what you're doing.

If someone "giving you their word" that they did something to remove evidence that could potentially implicate you in federal crimes gives you the warm fuzzies, you need to stop now before you get hosed hard. If you really want to start from scratch and make sure you're secure, take your hard drive, cook it in your oven, smash it with a bat and then drop it in a lake, then buy a new hard drive and reinstall your OS. Professionals can recover your data even if you try to wipe it.
