I don't think its breaking the law because supposedly when a package is in your mailbox or on your property it is legally yours. But weather they will try to take legal action is my question.

But then again I have doubts that they would try to take it to court of something under $300 because court fees would be more expensive then that.

In the UK, it's illegal.

And they won't bother about it, you're not worth their time.
