Amazon Question - Earth - 03-10-2015

I ordered a few items on Amazon about a week or so ago on a Friday, I noticed that the shipping was not looking normal it was taking extra long to receive a tracking number. I received 2 big packages in the mail and I was like well this is confusing because Amazon has not gave me a tracking number yet and the orders say Shipping Now.

I opened the first box and it was my Fiskars x15 that I ordered, Opened the second box and there was a second Fiskars x15 that I did not order and the Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 X-fi Pro that I did order.

I waited to see if there would be an Email asking for the return for the second Fiskars x15 and so far there is nothing. I double checked the order and it shows only 1 was ordered, I called my bank to make sure no extra charges were done. I also removed my credit card from Amazon til I figured this all out.

Well today I got another package which was confusing because I did not order another package but behold it was another Sound Blaster. No charges to my card or anything. And I logged into Amazon now all my packages say Delivered.

If I was to keep the second Sound Blaster and Fiskars x15 what are the chances of Amazon coming after me and can they do anything legally?

Amazon are cool, they won't ask for it back. A few months back, some dude got shit worth thousands delivered to his door, and they let him keep it - and it happens all the time. Amazon are chill.

Yes you're breaking the law.
No Amazon don't care.
No they won't do anything.

I don't think its breaking the law because supposedly when a package is in your mailbox or on your property it is legally yours. But weather they will try to take legal action is my question.

But then again I have doubts that they would try to take it to court of something under $300 because court fees would be more expensive then that.

In the UK, it's illegal.

And they won't bother about it, you're not worth their time.

They won't do anything, they probably don't even know they sent more shit out.

... I don't think that's how it works, otherwise I own quite a few cars. And when my neighbor's checks get delivered to the wrong address, they're not magically my checks.

You got lucky. That's awesome. If you want to get rid of that other sound card, I'll be glad to take it off your hands.

Well the check did not have your name on it so in that case it would be illegal. But the packages have my name on it.

Ya, I was just stating, having it arrive in your mailbox isn't legal ownership. You're fine, short of the user agreement or terms of service stating "hey if we fuck up and you get more than you pay for, well, give it back pls".
