My experience wit CentOS was buggy, and generally annoying at best
Not too long ago Anarchy Forums was hosted on a VPS running CentOS. Personally, I would recommend it for less technical users as Arch might be a bit painful for someone who's just interested in a game server. Don't get me wrong, Arch is my favorite distro, but it's unlikely I'd use it for hosting anything. Will Arch work for hosting? Without a doubt, but it will take much more time to set up if you plan to do anything fancy. Hosting a gameserver on Arch might just be short of living-hell depending on what game it is, etc... With Arch, you have the option of having a GUI, but that's up to you. One thing about Arch is that you can configure almost everything when installing it. That can be a good thing, but also a bad thing. If you're only used to using Ubuntu, Fedora, or anything like that and you're just setting up a gameserver save yourself the trouble.
