The best piece of career advice I've ever gotten is to treat everyone how you'd want to be treated.

This mindset has kept me from being rude to customers and also co-workers. I always think, 'what if were me? What would I like to happen?'

That's important to keep in mind because I tend to lose my temper at idiots who fuck up my order.
