Personally, I think the Skype chat should exist. Reason being, the site goes down sometimes, and I like to be able to reach all the members at once. While we might get rid of Skype in the future, it's a terrible idea right now. Our site is very unified because of the chat and it allows people to briefly discuss stuff that might not warrant the creation of a thread. Maybe in the future, but we'll see.
