So DZ, would you eat your dog to survive?

Scenario: You get lost in the woods camping, or you go on vacation to a remote island/landscape, and get yourself lost with your dog by your side. Days are going by, maybe even weeks, and you're having trouble finding a good source for food, because lets be honest, we aren't all Bear Grylls. At this point, would you kill your own dog and eat it, for your own survival?

For those of you that don't have a dog, I guess you can swap in your closest pet to you.

Personally, while I sit here, never having starved, I say no. I always have a close relationship with my dogs to the point where it'd be like killing a friend that was always there for me or a son that never thought I'd harm it.

But, put my in a position where I haven't eaten in weeks, history shows people do some CRAZY shit. So killing my own dog would be the easiest solution and your mind wouldn't think twice at that point. But I like to think I could control myself. And the comfort my dog would provide during that time would outweigh my hunger.
