if sex isn't a solution, 1st step is to eliminate porn, go masturbate without it, then cut down the monthly masturbation, from like 1 a day(30 a month) to for example 20 a month, and keep decreasing it, it's not nofap here, sometimes i still do it but without porn. Porn is killing your brain and dopamine, meanwhile 2-3 masturbations per month is okay in my opinion .

It's all about willpower and occupying your time with something else, more beneficial.
His problem in my opinion is porn, not masturbation, so he can easily cut out porn with a little bit of willpower and bust one out.
