Jesus that's horrible. It's easy to make the argument that he should have known the risk... But it's so extreme.

That's terrible, Jesus. It's simple to argue that he should have been aware of the danger... But it's so far out.

There's an injustice there of the weight of the crime vs the weight of the punishment. However, if someone from that culture is able to explain the perspective of why it's that way, I'd be more than willing to listen.
