VTubers are becoming the next ゆるキャラ (yurukyara) it seems. N-ko seems cute, but there's no doubt that these company-VTubers are heartless. VTubers from Hololive and VShojo are VTubers because they enjoy it. And that's reflected through their content. They put much more effort into their streams than 90% of all the other lifeless streamers on Twitch. And I can't find any good examples for broadcaster guidelines put in place by Hololive EN, or VShojo, but I think we can safely assume that an agency built for VTubers would have looser regulations than a company looking for profits.

But, we'll just have to see how this plays out in the next few years. Maybe something good will emerge out of this new trend among corporations.
