I think a townhouse is the best of both worlds. Rent-wise its cheaper, and theyre usually in groups that are managed by the same company like apartments so maintenance and such is easier then sending someone out to a random house. You also dont have to mow or shovel, but you still get the space of lawns and such (usually, atleast in the townhouses around where I live) The only downside is how close the neighbors are but throw up some thick curtains and you're fine. the TH 's ive lived in before have all had better sound-proofing than any apartments ive been at too.

I personally would go with house apartments are ok but you have to deal with loud people on the over side of paper walls sometimes you cant have animals and one place i was staying at they even said you can only put 2 holes per wall so you cant even mount a tv cuz it requires 4. with a house you can scream into your mic while you are playing games and no one can tell you not to and it can even be cheaper to live in a house I have my own house and since its pretty big i have 2 different roommates and i probably pay like 4-500 personally in house bills and you get to do things you dont get to in an appt like getting swimming pool start a fire place cameras wire a custom net work for the house and if you want to get real frisky pipe fiber into the place.

You are right about all the household duties. It is hard to maintain a house, but it worth it. We lived in an apartment before. During the quarantine, it was hard to be at home altogether. We decided to rent a small house. Now we still live here. Believe me, you will not think about the complexity of maintaining the house when you start living there. The most important thing for me was the ability to put the carpet on the floor. I have two vintage rugs from the DorisLeslieBlau gallery. In our apartment, there was no place for them.

I do not think it is the only reason you prefer living in an apartment. I imagine how much money people spend on maintaining a house and keep their backyard clean and accurate. It also needs a lot of time if you are going to deal with that by yourself. Nevertheless, I wish I lived in a house with a big and sunny living room. I would put my vintage rugs from the DorisLeslieBlau gallery on the floor. And beautiful paintings from some famous artists will decorate my walls.
