hello everyone, im pretty sure people that are reading this thread are familliar with the Sinister.ly discord server, if you aren't, you should check it out (check in the header, theres a Discord link)

Quick Introduction to the Discord Server of Sinister.ly (for people that don't know how the discord is like)

The discord server is where members can talk to each other about things that they enjoy or just share things they like, and its really fun. Theres an anime channel aswell as a music channel where you can post animes you watch or music you like.
It is also (i'd say) the most active part of sinister.ly, you can have a quick talk with staff of even just have a normal discussion with other members of sinister.ly. And thats the part that i really enjoy about the discord, that is how i found
some common interests between me & other members aswell as learning a few things (i started playing Doom because of @Skullmeat , big thanks to him again, i play it regularly since ^D^). People can also help each other & give advices on different things.

The "memers" in the server

Please note that i have nothing against most "memers", the one that i have problems with will recognise themselves.

The "memers" are the funny guys, its when people shitpost memes while Oni is offline & its really fun, i was one of them before i left & i really enjoyed it, made a few friends
and just had a great time laughing with other members of the community.

They normally make people want to talk in the chat or react to the memes that are posted, and it revives the server a bit.

Why did i leave then?

Like I said in the title, i said that i've left but im planning to comeback, but i still don't know when.

I left because i was getting called out for being in emote servers, which i don't know why it is seen as a bad thing but ok i guess. Then i just get called out for being a closet weeb (a weeb hiding their love for anime), Which i am not because i said multiple times
that i only watched like 3-4 anime, and even the terb "weeb" just makes me cringe, my closest irl friend loves anime yet i rarily ever bring up that he's a weeb (when i call him one, its normally for a joke).

I said it numerous times that im not one nor like to be called as such, but it kept going, so i decided to leave.

I also had some times to think about a few things and that made me even less want to comeback. Sinister.ly has a great community, but i just don't want to deal with people like that when im just trying to have some fun.

after i've left, i got some friends going to me and asking why i left, which is fine, Oni was like one of the first to come to me & i really appreciate it.

However, i didn't tell some people just because of me not feeling really safe around them or just not wanting to, but forced anyway, i told that person off and just to not do it again.

TL;DR: Yes i'll comeback, idk when, read the whole thing if you want to know why i left but don't try to pressure me just to get the slightest of information because im you're friend, im not a fucking criminal getting asked questions to why did i do this or that, im human.

If you think that im just saying bullshit then ok cool just say in the replys ill make sure to like them

To the person that made me leave: You step over the line, i already had to message you in dms for not stalking someone, which you did and i like that, however, don't try to make me come as what im not

Jokes, no matter how well-intended, can go wrong. It's important to recognise when someone isn't happy and just step away. Equally, it's important to consider what the jokestar actually meant.
For me. the term 'weeb' holds zero offense, and is akin to stating someone enjoys music/art. It might not be entirely correct, but it's not derogatory in this day and age.

Those are merely my own two cents. I'd never want to tell anyone their feelings are invalid, but just to consider the mindset on both sides, that led to the fallout.

I sincerely hope you guys work it out and are able to move forward - I really enjoyed the banter in the Discord.
