I found this article the other day

Anyone else heard of these ?

Would be VERY impressive if they are truly anonymous. Wouldn't have to worry about your data service provider giving anything to the authorities, ever.

Also could change your location without any additional software

The way the SIM works is restricting any internet activity not routed through TOR. TOR routing has to be done manually on the user's phone the way I see it, I suppose by using Orbot on Android. If the user is on regular internet, the data just won't go through, but that's likely just done specially through the ISP not so much the SIM. I could be wrong though.

Still a very cool idea and one that definitely encourages safer, more secure internet usage.

Yes it does. And if you were to use a VPN with that SIM, then you'd be good. However, I didn't think about the ISP. If they don't have any regulations against giving out info, then they're just as bad Sad

Yes, it's not fully secure, but that's why you usually use a VPN with it

Anything that establishes a connection and Is transmitting data, Is susceptible to leakage, disclosure and exploitation.
