I've tried quite a few alternatives over the years, and VLC wins hands down.

I cannot remember the name, but there was a media player that one of my friends paid for a very long time ago. My friend allowed me to try the software, and it didn't even read DVDs properly.

Goodness, not having the capacity for effective DVD playback Is definitely an Issue.

For a short period, I was using CyberLink PowerDVD which was extremely Impressive.

It is a major issue, especially for a paid product. I have heard of CyberLink before, but in terms of overall performance and general usage, how do you think CyberLink and VLC compare?

CyberLink PowerDVD Is far more superior as opposed to VLC. That said, for video playback and simplicity, I'd choose VLC.

Yes, CyberLink does cost but I've cracked every version. In my 20+ years dedicatedly In computing, I've yet to pay a single dime for software.

I neglected to mention that I was also using the Windows native player, namely Windows Media Player.

For video playback alone, It fulfills all needs.

For music, I usually just use Spotify. For video playback I use BS Player, for the only reason that it automatically downloads subtitles in my language. So I don't have to search all those sites loaded with advertisements for subtitles.

Normally I tend to use VLC as well though, if it's a video where I don't need subtitles for, don't ask me why, I just like VLC more than.

None, i Don't listen much to music but when i do, i do it online .

Everyone should learn how to code, it teaches you how to think.

You don't have to be a Genius to know how to code you just need to be determined.

The computer is incredibly fast, accurate, and stupid; man is unbelievably slow, inaccurate, and brilliant; together they are powerful beyond imagination.

VLC always. Has everything I need, never even had to look for alternatives.
