I'm sure you remember Chelsea Manning, the whistleblower imprisoned for 35 fucking years because (s)he showed horrible war crimes.
Well, Obama just pardoned h(er/im). Pretty harsh sentence to begin with in my opinion, and I'm glad (s)he got this at all, didn't even deserve it to begin with.

The duration of the sentence (for the nature of the crime) Is ridiculous. A lot of murders, even repeat offenders, get a lesser sentence.

Well done to Obama though, I certainly didn't expect It off him.
