Obama commutes much of Chelsea Manning's sentence - Wildfire - 01-18-2017
I'm sure you remember Chelsea Manning, the whistleblower imprisoned for 35 fucking years because (s)he showed horrible war crimes.
Well, Obama just pardoned h(er/im). Pretty harsh sentence to begin with in my opinion, and I'm glad (s)he got this at all, didn't even deserve it to begin with.

This is pandering. If he wanted to make a real difference he would have done it long ago.
Sick of people crediting him for this type of shit and being such a "great ally" when his "help" is always years late.

The duration of the sentence (for the nature of the crime) Is ridiculous. A lot of murders, even repeat offenders, get a lesser sentence.
Well done to Obama though, I certainly didn't expect It off him.
