What conclusive evidence do you have that It was your "Router" that was compromised, and not the actual devices connected to It?

And I've known people who put router firewalls In place, yet leave the manufacturer's default login (example, admin:admin, admin2:admin2 etc) as Is. I'm not saying you have, only stating a fact.

You've not been breached by any intrusion to a networking device. You'd notice ALOT of latency as they'd be basically using you as a proxy. I feel like you've re-used passwords and have been slain by grep.

Let's say i'm wrong and someone did hijack your router and all traffic and cache stored on it is now theirs. What settings did you have that could of been exploited? What ports did you have open? or do you think it's more likely it was some 0day router sploit?

Anyone skilled enough to get into your network through your router via actual exploitation is not interested in your Twitter account.

Usually routers keep log files, I don't know if it's enabled by default though. You can try checking for the logs OR maybe try using Wireshark to detect traffic on your PC that shouldn't be there.
Than again, I would check and scan your computer first, because I still highly doubt anyone breaks into your router for a Twitter.

Also what about your neighbours? Maybe this is a thought to far, but if you had a fight with 1 of your neighbours, they could just be Wiresharking your network.
Wifi ain't that hard to crack, and with something like Wireshark running, they could have your password within hours.

Man I thought this would never happen but someone actually cracked my all my firewalls.

I know others have already asked but how do you know for sure? Do you have logs? Have you monitored your connections and stuff? I too think it was phishing and that only your Twitter and maybe an email were compromised, but you should for sure change all passwords/security settings just to be on the safe side. Reflash the router software or buy a new router. Also copy your home directories and reinstall the operating systems that you've accessed your accounts from in the past few weeks. This is what I would do. Best of luck.
