My first distro was debian a few years ago. I found an old computer with no OS and asked a buddy to put any OS on a USB stick and they put Debian on it. Worked well than, works well now

Oh god, I've always felt bad for the Fedora user. In the old days, Ubuntu was actually pretty good. But then they started using that shitcake desktop environment and I haven't touched it since '11

Debian is also a good one. I can still remember a time when the installer (expert mode) was painful for me and took hours. 10 years later and I'm building arch from source to install.

Nice! I keep meaning to build an Arch rig but can never find the time. What do you think about BlackArch?

I've heard it a few times, never used it. I'm more of the type that builds their own tools for things. Besides, black arch is very un-arch like in that it comes pre-installed with things. If you really want to go down the hole of true minimalist linux, check our parabola.

Yeah, same here. I'll probably just stick with Kali and Debian based distros. Thanks, tho.

This was probably my second distro ever, really liked the look of everything and how everything was stable, looked good, and came all-in-one.

It was made in the spirit of MacOSX, which I didn't like because they 'locked down' some features, and after I got better with linux/programming I quickly moved on to more flexible distros and didn't give Elementary another thought
