I'm pretty sure I tried Fedora at one point but later switched to Ubuntu....

Oh god, I've always felt bad for the Fedora user. In the old days, Ubuntu was actually pretty good. But then they started using that shitcake desktop environment and I haven't touched it since '11

Debian is also a good one. I can still remember a time when the installer (expert mode) was painful for me and took hours. 10 years later and I'm building arch from source to install.

Nice! I keep meaning to build an Arch rig but can never find the time. What do you think about BlackArch?

Nice! I keep meaning to build an Arch rig but can never find the time. What do you think about BlackArch?
I've heard it a few times, never used it. I'm more of the type that builds their own tools for things. Besides, black arch is very un-arch like in that it comes pre-installed with things. If you really want to go down the hole of true minimalist linux, check our parabola.
