Change of Rules - Virus Scanning #1
Since there are issues with virus scanning, I have decided to lift the requirement of posting scans.
It is still against the rules to post infected files, but I would like users to stop relying on virus-scans, and more on common-sense.

If you find that files are infected, warn other users, post proof, and report the post containing the infected files.
All reports are carefully examined and we take our user's safety very seriously. So, if you do stumble on something suspicious, let us know.

Also, this doesn't mean you should stop posting virus-scans. It just means you shouldn't rely on them and that the rules no longer require you to post them.
I hope the lifting of this requirement improves the community and users take a more active approach to protecting their machines.

Feel free to post your questions and concerns.

Note about using "common-sense": Think twice before downloading something from a post by new/suspicious users.

True, but there are other factors that users should pay attention to because the file may be crypted and so on...

RE: Change of Rules - Virus Scanning #6
I usually keep the file on my computer for a while before I run it just in case it is crypted.
Then an AV will catch it more than likely.

Aaah, I much preferred that you didn't change the rule lol, but now you're relying on people's common sense, and may I ask how many people do have it here? Lol, jks.

Good to know about the change Anar!

Hm, personally I liked the fact that you had to post a virus scan - it provided a layer of safety and security for the community of this site. But, it's your site therefore your call and I'm sure you've made the right one.
