Change of Rules - Virus Scanning 11-02-2012, 04:01 AM
#1
Since there are issues with virus scanning, I have decided to lift the requirement of posting scans.
It is still against the rules to post infected files, but I would like users to stop relying on virus-scans, and more on common-sense.
If you find that files are infected, warn other users, post proof, and report the post containing the infected files.
All reports are carefully examined and we take our user's safety very seriously. So, if you do stumble on something suspicious, let us know.
Also, this doesn't mean you should stop posting virus-scans. It just means you shouldn't rely on them and that the rules no longer require you to post them.
I hope the lifting of this requirement improves the community and users take a more active approach to protecting their machines.
Feel free to post your questions and concerns.
