Well I've had my own computer since I was five, and started using the internet when I was eight(uncensored, no parental controls, etc), I turned out fine. I think the internet should be free for anyone to use it.

Internet access shouldn't be taken for granted by anyone; especially children; and as soon as they get on that thing, they need to be taught that it's not to be assumed ^^

I completely agree with @lux educate them show them the good the bad,and anything ibn between in an educational manner of course show that the internet is a powerful tool i learned how to go through the internet by myself i was a 10-11 year old whose parents didnt even know how to turn on a computer. I learned and taught myself a lot more then what the average 20 year old knows about computers hardware and software (in my city state and general area anyways) imagine that with some guidance

I am constantly under my father's restrictions. On my computer, Family Safety makes me unable to run apps not on the whitelist and locks me out after an hour. On my phone, I'm tracked with Android Device Manager. Personally I'm able to bypass some of them.

I have a mixed reaction to these restrictions. On one hand I feel terribly restricted and envious of friends running around with admin privileges on their computers. On the other, it does help build this "hacker" mentality in me to try to learn more about the system so I can "break out". I know it's wrong but I like it. When doing it, I learn about keeping myself safe, and not dicking around on the internet. :3

Allow everyone, but make provisions to allow for explicitly denying certain types of people after they've proven they can't handle themselves.

If I was a parent, I'd let them as soon as they would know how to use a keyboard, man I wish I had internet acess when I was a kid.
