New website design #1
Hello [username]

I have made a new design that allows you to navigate with your arrow keys, or your mouse if you prefer. Let me know what you think, rating from 0-10.

This design is for my business Kryptex, Inc.

@bluedog.tar.gz tell me if you like the way I setup the partner section Wink

Aligning and such seems fine, but I think the partners would be better with a background color to increase the contrast.

I was just about to go to bed because I'm tired.

I'll see if I can leave you some other feedback later on Smile

Not sure what to do with the background, hard to find the right color to go with. Sometimes its to bright sometimes its to dark.

Security really shouldn't depend on the secrecy of its implementation; especially not in crypto which is notoriously difficult to get right.

Our system is very complex and is not based off of regular encryption (AES). We do test and think of ways to penetrate our system, so far we have not found any.

I wouldn't expect it to be based on AES I'm assuming its a different algorithm.

That said; its easy to make a crypto system you cannot break; its much more difficult to make a crypto system no one can break. That was one of the first things I learned when I started learning crypto theory in university.

If you're system can't hold up to public scrutiny then I wouldn't trust it to be used for anything at all.

EDIT though perhaps a discussion on this would be better in another thread.

EDIT2: also I don't care about penetrating your system; I'm commenting on the security of the algorithm itself which may be broken

When it is used people can try to hack it, not sure they will be able to figure it out. We set it up so that it works in a series of steps but in a complex pattern. If you get even 1 step or 1 letter wrong the ending result will be a pile of gibberish.

Okay...so http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avalanche_effect

Thats one desirable property but this still doesn't ensure any security at all if your algorithm itself is broken.

Basically what I'm getting at is that hiding it doesn't make it any more secure; if it cannot hold to public scrutiny you're only delaying the inevitable by hiding it. Also as someone who recommend encryption to various clients I would be absolutely againsst any client using your crypto purely because it is not mature and cannot be criticized.
