I think it's a good idea to teach about other people's beliefs even if you don't believe yourself. Understanding is the first step towards respecting

I'd agree with you. Teaching history of religions as plain facts is a good idea. But if they start teaching about believing in these religions, it wouldn't look pretty. It should be the choice of people, whether they want to believe something, or disbelieve something. Smile

In Denmark, we get taught Christianity, Islam and [Jews believe]. It's ok as long as it isn't some sort of brainwash.

I think that would not go over well in the US. Groups like the ACLU would sue in a second. Count on it.

I think it's alright, AS LONG as it's not a forced study, where like you have to choose it.
And they have study for each one of the religions.

i'm not sure that knowing well this terms: polytheist -but if means a person who have more religion i think yes.Watch the Life of Pi -for an example.I support a person who search the thrue behind all the culture, behind the coran ,the holly bibble ? ,shinto, zen, hindu or chan or whatelse,i think that is right to study all of them -because you will find the essence of all the believes.Even Einstein believe that there is a God-a divine creature how make all things that surround as. What i don't think as good is that one persons sustains that one religion is more efficient than another.
