Wouldn't it be wild if we were all the same species (all of us, including all the aliens) - and the universe just captured ourselves in different forms, based upon the set of decisions we made over a specific timeframe?
...and determined by the planets we inhabited?
Mathematics and science are a universal force of defining our universe. One could say that we build technology from that force (whether that be aerodynamics for planes, electricity for lighting, etc.).
Our comprehension of the circumstances of these forces has always been evolving. And how we harness the universe has as well.
One difference that is finite is each planet has a set number of resources. And each species has its own advantages and disadvantages of biology and technology.
