You won't ever know if repacks are safe. It's the risk you take. Most games will only be available offline anyway. You could just have an offline win10/11 boot, play the game and nuke the OS install.

If you really care about security & privacy maybe don't download cracks on a system you care about, but it's *probably* fine

I think the same but like I say above they could do anything write now and they only need to do it once. Maybe empty crypto wallets of all people who download? One time is enough.
