You should note in the original post that the Discord server is only accessible to those who have upgraded. It currently states that it is open to the general public, which it is not really.

I've added clarification. The server itself is accessible to everyone, although we've only enabled chat privileges for VIP (Bronze+). Still useful for announcements and the activity feed.

The link is current. If you are having issues, I recommend trying from a different account/connection.
