Official Discord Group (Deprecated Communication)
After recent events, we decided to open the VIP Discord up to the general public. It will now be the secondary means of communication for the members of Sinisterly. Discord is a solution for IM and voice chat. Below is the information to download and join us. Note that you must be upgraded to use channels (outside of announcements/activity feed).

Click the Discord link in the header of the forum or below:

- You must have a Discord account with a verified email.
- You must wait in the channel 5 minutes before you may use it.
[ Groups ]
If you are in any special usergroups (i.e. upgraded, Legends, Otaku) you must notify a staff member, so they can add you to the respective Discord roles/channels. #vip is for upgraded/Legends members. User-owned groups also have their own channels.
[ Warning ]
The #nsfw channel is for adult content. Do not visit this channel if you are a minor. Obviously don't visit this channel at work. The #random channel is for any discussion/spam.
What happens in the Discord chat, stays in the Discord chat.
If you have any questions or concerns, message me or post below.
Note: Discord is the primary means of communication. Skype is no longer used at all.

Thanks for bringing back Discord. Just out of curiosity, did you ever actually hear back with any reasonable information from Discord on why the original one and your partner status was revoked?

Didn't see this until now. They never got back to us and they didn't give much information. I'm assuming they regretted giving us Partner, which is why they were so hush-hush about the details of why. As for their terms of service, we continue to enforce them regardless, and have even added a #rules channel. Personally, I would have preferred to use IRC instead after how they conducted business. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of promoting them and so many of our members moved to Discord. I personally despise the company, but it's necessary.

Why not just force everyone to use IRC and say, 'No way am I poisoning my body with that sheeite. All those fuckin' rules!'
I did notice the channel was dead when I joined, but aren't there alternatives like pigin or another app such as? Pigin can do e2e encryption in DMs and AOL-like chatrooms for the larger audience to have a home channel.
It's less perceived as being 'so oldschool it's outdated' because pigin is a GUI based system whereas IRC is perceived as that because it's bland and has no connectivity the way a lot of people today think of Discord as doing/having/whatever.
Just a suggestion: Maybe survey what the options are and make a poll open to all members with the top 3 choices. I imagine it coming down to pretty much Pigin/IRC/Discord but Discord shouldn't be a part of the poll as it's intended to find its replacement.
