Fedora, just works as expected, doesn't do telemetry (opt out, but yeah), and is not as crappy as current gen windows implementations of "modern features", that open source programmers just try to build cleaner alternatives of, for free, and installable with a simple package management command most of the times. I'd discuss things in a better manner, but since your question was why i use linux, this is a rudimentary answer to it.
