How do you pick your staff? Do you use post count, content, behavior, do you use people you know in real life?

I look at a number of different things including time zone, age, activity, maturity, experience, etc.

I just take a look at their profile and evaluate their posts and whatnot. Checking their age, name and everything else .py said.

I would select a member for a Staff position based on their quality, experience and maturity.

When I run forums I look mainly on their forum stats. I know stats don't fully register a member's real image but still, it helps. From there, I read a few of their posts and see how they react to some members. And then I make my decision based on their past on my forum.

Sometimes I make fake accounts and ask for help on the user I'm thinking of promoting to see what their response is to some people who aren't upgraded, who are new, etc.

Yes, this is true but i look for a lot more then this like helpful and other things etc,
