Hacker Claims Selling Access To Apple Internal Tools - mothered - 06-04-2018 Greetings to all, Whether this Is In fact true or simply fictitious, It's certainly Interesting reading- that the possibility of Apple's Global Service Exchange system can be exploited. Quote:A hacker is claiming to have access to internal Apple tools that can return account information on Apple customers. Source. RE: Hacker Claims Selling Access To Apple Internal Tools - sashimi0 - 06-04-2018 I'd hate to find out this is just an employee using his credentials and betraying Apple's trust. This has happened too often, and ruins the perks of working there for everyone else. This Is one of many reasons of the Importance In performing pre-employee screening/background checks via various and reputable sources. I'd assume they'd (Apple) have company confidentiality In place, whereby sensitive data cannot be discussed, distributed or otherwise beyond the confines of the complex. It will not prevent employees In doing so but If caught, the company further solidifies their actions to seek litigation. RE: Hacker Claims Selling Access To Apple Internal Tools - lonelyman718 - 08-23-2018 How in the F does Apple not catch this guy before he can post to Twitter.... so bizarre to me RE: Hacker Claims Selling Access To Apple Internal Tools - mothered - 08-24-2018 (08-23-2018, 09:12 PM)lonelyman718 Wrote: How in the F does Apple not catch this guy before he can post to Twitter.... so bizarre to me It makes you wonder how many other exploits/data breaches are In effect, but unbeknownst to Apple and/or not publicly announced. RE: Hacker Claims Selling Access To Apple Internal Tools - zorrophreak - 08-25-2018 Just from a serial number I was able to find the Model, Series, and Part Number all from open public Apple warranty pages. I'm not saying he's bluffing but those aren't proof that he has access. As for the photos, those would definitely be harder for him to fake. Agree. I still have reservations as to the legitimacy of the hack. Here's a couple of statements taken from the article, that are not In favor of the hacker. The operative words are marked accordingly. * The hacker claims to be able to return Apple account data, but would not provide evidence. * I can't tell you my work," the hacker said. RE: Hacker Claims Selling Access To Apple Internal Tools - Skullmeat - 08-26-2018 Either this guys is brazen, or its BS. My money is on BS. |
