It could've ended up a lot worse, whereby potentially causing Injury to Innocent motorists or bystanders. In some localities, the law Is quite lenient and some (would-be) criminals are aware of that, therefore commit offenses knowing they'll get off lightly. I understand that people can get out of the handcuffs, but why would you design a police car in a way that allows someone in the back seat to crawl into front. Seems like a big security risk. Furthermore, why did the police leave the keys In the Ignition? As part of police protocol, I'd assume they'd keep all their belongings with them at all times. |
