Auto-save function - Bish0pQ - 03-16-2017 Hello everyone, So I have had a few times that on accident I deleted the thread text when I was busy typing it. It's really a waste of time and copying after every 10 lines isn't that nice either. Would it be hard to implement an auto-save feature when creating larger threads? Maybe just a checkbox we can tick if you want to enable auto-save or not. It shouldn't be too hard to implement right? What do you guys think of this and is this even possible @Oni? RE: Auto-save function - Mafia - 03-16-2017 I think this is a good idea, I've done this so many times too! RE: Auto-save function - Mr.Kurd - 03-16-2017 Nice Idea buddy.. You can make a table in database for this,, While writing auto save a text to the database then after posting , delete the text... RE: Auto-save function - Inori - 03-16-2017 This is definitely possible using some simple AJAX and the existing MyBB drafting system. I think the only reason it doesn't come standard is due to the potential bandwidth overhead, but even that can be minimized. All around great suggestion. In the meantime, Ctrl+Z works in a pinch, but you might lose some content. RE: Auto-save function - Losi - 03-16-2017 I definitely have written a few posts on android and accidentally clicked the back button, losing all my work. Would definitely be nice to have an auto draft feature. I'm all for this is enough people are having the same troubles. RE: Auto-save function - Skullmeat - 03-16-2017 Yeah. Ive had this issue alot. An autosave function would be great. RE: Auto-save function - pvnk - 03-16-2017 I often copy my stuff to my clipboard after a few lines. RE: Auto-save function - zenith - 03-16-2017 You do realize that ctrl z is a thing. If you are going for a massive thread change. Just ctrl a, ctrl c it before doing anything else. Never had this happen to me RE: Auto-save function - Mr.Kurd - 03-16-2017 (03-16-2017, 08:28 PM)Zenith Wrote: You do realize that ctrl z is a thing. It's off OP but let me say it.. I was playing online, then someone on chat said hit "Ctrl+F4", I did it without thinking then the game shut down hhhhIf he was near of me I killed him. |
