Studying Abroad - millionandbell - 10-06-2016 So my french literature instructor recently asked me to take the opportunity to study abroad in France/Italy, its going to cost about 3,000 to go but i'm applying to as many scholarships as i can. Anyone have advice? like ways to make money (legal ways of course) and maybe scholarship application tips anything? RE: Studying Abroad - mothered - 10-08-2016 In terms of making money, I'll state the obvious and simply say to find a job. I often advise as follows: "If you spend 8 hours a day working, you should spend 8 hours a day looking for work". If you want a job (any job), no doubt you'll find one. RE: Studying Abroad - Unique Pepe Meme - 12-30-2016 There are also loans and scholarships that are due only after you graduated so that you have some time to save money. Furthermore, you are obviously more likely to earn more after graduation. If you do this you'll have a job in no time. Everyone's looking for people to work for them, its fact. RE: Studying Abroad - Inori - 12-30-2016 If you like your major, definitely try to find the opportunity to get some experience in the field while abroad. You'll probably learn things you wouldn't have even in a co-op program near your normal campus. Agree. It's just that a lot of people (who desperately seek work), pick and choose as to the "type" of work they're after. And then they complain why a job doesn't land their way. |
