In my country, house prices are ridiculously high and few people can afford to take out a mortgage. The majority are either renting, or opting for one or two bedroom apartments away from the city- where prices are a lot cheaper.

Sometimes it's just worth living further away and commuting in as the price difference is probably more than the cost of the commute! XD

Without going Into specifics, I enjoy my privacy and reside In an area with almost zero distractions- far from city living.

A year ago, I would say I want an apartment, but now I want a house. I think because of the situation around, a house would be safer and much more comfortable. Lately, I've been looking for Mortgage Advice Cambridge because I see that the house prices are growing day by day, so maybe now's the time to invest in one, before they get crazy expensive. I have some savings but not enough, and this thought doesn't give me a break. Would you put so much money on the table and buy a house during these times, or I should wait?

Seldom do break-Ins happen among tenants/residents within the same complex, particularly If It's a small group of 20 or 30- everyone knows each other to some extent. As such, It's very unlikely for an outsider to break-In when there's activity constantly happening throughout the day.

Ill vote for buying a house. It's not anyone's space except your own. You can do what you want within reason. No one has any rights to enter as what you do doesn't effect anyone else. There are not many immediate neighbours to see what you are up to. Just unsync with their routines, pay your bills get people to keep the outside areas tidy.

but house is house , we can do anything in that.. and even upgrade it , what we want.

Being able to modify/upgrade is a big deal, as normally apartments have restrictions on that. Also, if the property appreciates in value a person renting might be forced to move out.

I can get wanting to own a house since it's all yours and such but IMO I like to live in apartments
I feel if I own a house, I would be anchored to it but with an apartment, I can move out at any time in case something were to go wrong.
