AMD brought much, much needed competition to the CPU market.

They've been killing it with Ryzen, Threadripper and Epyc, and I can't wait for 3rd gen.
And thanks to them Intel has stopped rehashing the same damn quad core processor with very minor improvements every year for absurd prices and actually doing something with their engineers.
Now we just need to wait for them to get their shit together in the GPU market.

Actually, that's a good point. I'd assume Intel is facing fiercer competition now more than ever. With competition comes efforts to do better. I'm excited to see what both companies produce next.

From what I've learned so far is that, AMD is for when you're on a small budget while Intel is the right to go if money is not a issue. Since Ryzen Series came, I'd really go for AMD. They're really something especially with a budget friendly price.

More thread and more core in amd and cheap

I prefer AMD in general , better performance for all tasking and gaming and cheaper in general than intel

Pretty neutral for now. Intel had the lead for a long time but for the past few years AMD has been the best option. Intel might be baring its teeth, with Raptor Lake coming.

Here's their roadmaps compared:

going with intel of course, the best :p

Between the 12900K and the 5950X, they're pretty neck and neck right now. Raptor Lake and Raphael will be dropping in September/October, so it will be interesting to see.
