Honestly, I miss the absence of the internet. It was nice to feel unconnected at all times.

THIS. Every time I have to click the stupid cookies button I have a slight aneurism. Brave and adblock may have changed my life. I log onto my PC at work, which has no adblocking or protection (to the point people started getting porn popups) and I feel so dirty. I need to go wash my eyeballs after that.

If AdBlock wasn't around, I'd probably be off the net for good.

This is kind of niche, but I miss joining a Minecraft server and adding people on Skype. You'd join, meet someone chill, add them, then spend the next few hours learning about each other and playing games. Simpler times.

Sinisterly had an MSN group before Skype. Reminiscing about good memories is a pleasure.

Almost everything on the internet feels so corporated now. Everything is from some company, ready to push your data for money. Cookie and targeted ads all over. Old internet felt free and mysterious. Now it's boring and predictable.

The normality, no one was specially good at it so it was nice.

What I miss about MSN Messenger, is that you actually talked. You logged on and that meant - “Hey, I am here, let us talk” ... Now we are connected 24/7, someone sends you a message, maybe you reply a few hours later, they reply tomorrow. It is so sporadic.

I also miss when YouTube was a much smaller community and the popular channels were normal people, rather than the influencer types we have today.
