That's exactly what im running. Arch + custom kernel + i3wm RE: Why should I install Linux? - DragonicRek - 07-12-2018 (07-10-2018, 10:58 PM)Percent Wrote: If you hate paying for an antivirus, love open source software, believe in privacy, want full control over your computer system, and want a better operating system for your daily tasks, you will love Linux. Linux can be very hard to switch over to at first, as it certainly isn't too similar to Windows in every single aspect. However, once you get used to it, you will love it, and would have wished that you switched to it earlier in life. Great thanks, I'll probably install it soon RE: Why should I install Linux? - Percent - 07-12-2018 (07-12-2018, 07:07 PM)GosuSang Wrote:(07-10-2018, 10:58 PM)Percent Wrote: If you hate paying for an antivirus, love open source software, believe in privacy, want full control over your computer system, and want a better operating system for your daily tasks, you will love Linux. Thats what i do with Kali linux. I would recommend using that Linux OS to learn as it comes with many tools for pentesting, social engineering, Wifi cracking and more. I Would Recommend You "Parrot OS" Because Theres Many Bugs In Kali That Are Fixed In Parrot "AnonSurf" Specially Written Code For Parrot That Transfers Whole Traffic Through The TOR Network ( I Know, You Can Install it on kali also but, there is always some problems) More Privacy And This is only few from hundreds Why I Recommend You Parrot Parrot Is Better Than Kali, Of course, however, that is just my opinion. Great, I'll look into this thanks RE: Why should I install Linux? - Sun0228 - 07-12-2018 oh boy, just do it! TAKE THE POWER BACK! RE: Why should I install Linux? - phyrrus9 - 07-12-2018 this thread has gone so far off the rails its not even funny.... to all of you recommending kali, or parrot, or black arch, or whatever else: knock it off. RE: Why should I install Linux? - Vultra - 07-13-2018 As for agreeing to Phyrrus, most of them do just take up space and programs you don't even need. installing your own is always the go. Its not that (though that is a large portion of it). It's the retarded cult following and feeling of invincibility people have when using them. Using tor is no more secure than browsing the web on your home internet, with the SOLE exception when every request you EVER make stays within the tor network. That means if you go to google or facebook or discord or you use a non-tor DNS even one time you've just negated every single security benefit you had, and now you're just taking a 70% bandwidth cut to be smug. Mostly bastardizations of distros you can already get, without the bloatware (i.e. Debian, Arch). Spoiler:I still recommend Debian. |
