I do hope It will remain that way on a consistent level for the long term. A lot of people simply give up, thereby allowing the disease to take over. That's when they lose more than just their sanity. It wasn't until I spent time behind bars that I became a bit more unraveled mentally(always worried about who is out to get you, be it cops, criminals, government, etc), but it kind of goes with the territory. I do have a fairly high IQ(I was in Mensa), but I do not consider myself a smart person in any way, shape or form.Don't they say that's a common theme among the intelligent. I also don't consider myself smart, but I am constantly achieving academic praise I don't think I deserve tbh RE: You Might Be At A Higher Risk Of Mental Illness - Ecks - 10-22-2017 (10-22-2017, 08:43 AM)Slacker Wrote: @ecks can understand why @ender believes we are the same person lol we have a lot in common as weird as they shit sounds lol We should fuck with him on discord next time I am on LOL. But yeah we do have a lot of similarities. RE: You Might Be At A Higher Risk Of Mental Illness - Colin44 - 06-21-2020 My brother was always one of the smartest kids in the school. He dealt with math problems easily while others struggled a lot. Everyone was telling us that he is destined for something great and my parents were always very proud of him. We had a happy childhood and everything was going great until he started to be depressed after high school. He moved out of the city and I guess that he missed the family and friends too much. He had really bad grades because of that and we needed to find some help for him. We took him to a therapy and the therapist has recommended us pills from [links denied - staff] . He did not like them very much, but after taking them he was better. It really helped him finish law school and realize his potential. He has a job now and depression is gone. When It's not managed, It's a serious Illness, that has a significant negative Impact on one's mental ability to live a normal life. RE: You Might Be At A Higher Risk Of Mental Illness - Lolly00 - 06-30-2020 I'm not a scientist, but I guess these mental illnesses can be divided on those you were born with and those you own because of the society and people around you, affecting you, so I'd assume that it's not IQ itself, but the results of having a high IQ. I mean, smarter people are always suffering more than those who don't understand many things in this world, don't you think so? RE: You Might Be At A Higher Risk Of Mental Illness - marry321 - 07-03-2020 I think everyone is a little neurotic RE: You Might Be At A Higher Risk Of Mental Illness - laeliaralph - 12-11-2023 As for my mental health, it's always been great. My IQ is 78. RE: You Might Be At A Higher Risk Of Mental Illness - fralaco - 12-11-2023 if youre more intelligent for sure you are more sad, you realize all the shit around us more than anyone |
