If you are going for a massive thread change. Just ctrl a, ctrl c it before doing anything else.

Never had this happen to me

I do, but like I said sometimes I accidently close the page or lose the text, I even have a clipboard manager, but I don't want to have to copy every 15 seconds to my clipboard. That's just how I do it though, but I think that implementing it would be a nice extra feature if it wouldn't be too much trouble to implement.

This is a good suggestion though.

There's already a "Save Draft" button. Why would it need to be automatic?

Genuinely forgot that button existed. I often type my really long threads elsewhere (Word or something) then c+p them.

If you'd close your tab, if your pc randomly shuts down. If chrome crashes and exits. I was just saying this would be nice it it was easy to implement.

Exactly this.

Particularly If you're documenting a pretty long post and upon submitting, all Is lost due to either a server or browser error. I had this feature on a previous (now discontinued) forum of mine. It's very easy to Implement. I coded mine In CSS.
