RE: Logo Feedback - Customer - 01-08-2015 (01-08-2015, 12:12 PM)Eclipse Wrote: I disagree. It's too cliché for, say, an international company to have a globe and so on. Most professional logo designers are strongly against linking the name, or what the company does, with the logo in this way. The logo does not represent what you do or your name, it's just like a person's name. It doesn't tell you much about them, but it represents them. I'm not sure where you've been doing your research, but professional logo designers that do work for logos that actually mean something. You know like Fedex, Amazon, Tostitos, vaio, Toyota.. not to mention all the rest. All of these companies logos have something that has a relevant touch to what the company is about. ![]() This is Toyota's logo. The most simple of icons, yet was so complex. RE: Logo Feedback - cr33pyguy - 01-08-2015 I am here, with the critical opinion as always. So, let's begin, shall we? I like the idea of the logo, it's simple and clean. However: - it's quite busy, and not too spacious as is normal of the minimalistic style. The latter remark is fine, just thought i'd point it out - Arrows always attract attention. Not even that really, they direct it. The corners acting as arrows here pull the viewers attention away from the text, and therefore the supposed "idea" or "topic" of the logo. - third, and last I wanna point out that the angles of the arrows/corners alter, therefore decreasing the feeling of connection between them. A very minor thing, and I assume this is a "sketch" version, so it doesn't matter. Anyway, that's all :p I repeat, I do like the style of art. :3 Keep going Eclipse-kun

I was going to say, there are logos that basically have the initials or the name of the company, written in a certain way, as the logo. For example, IBM. And they have the potential to look awesome. I'm not sure why you've given Toyota as an example. How does their logo tell you anything about what they do? It's complex either way, so it's not like you can write it on paper and shit it out. That is if you want to design logos professionally. |
