Well, I posted this before but it disappeared. It's a logo for myself and @Cressi's FB page.

Is the contrast between the triangle and the text intended? The text looks really spacious, but then you have the triangle which kind of messes it up. Personally I'm not much of a designer so that's just my two cents.

Yeah, I notices that. As you can see on the paper, it was more spaced out. It's harder to do the same thing with a mouse.

I'll try to reproduce a version more similar to the paper drafts.

Well honestly, logo making is usually dependent on what the company is.

If it was a tanning salon, you'd probably put palm trees and sunglasses and whatnot, you know.

Underestimating the complexity of minimalism will make your hard work ugly.

Not being a dick, just being brutally honest.

Perhaps try using a program with a lineart option. For example: Paint Tool Sai. It's free to download and you can edit lines after you've drawn them by clicking and dragging, and changing the thickness in one part of the line and making it thinner in another part. You can make the points on the triangular parts more prominent and so on. I can show you an example if you like?

I would recommend reducing the amount of lines. Also, I think it may look fancier if the triangle doesn't come so far down.. So the triangle shape is thinner. It will make it look more sleek and hopefully professional. The overall concept is really neat though!

Oh and you're right, the sketch does look better as the lines are more spaced out.

I disagree. It's too cliché for, say, an international company to have a globe and so on. Most professional logo designers are strongly against linking the name, or what the company does, with the logo in this way. The logo does not represent what you do or your name, it's just like a person's name. It doesn't tell you much about them, but it represents them.

That'd be great, thanks. As I've said, it's only the first draft, and the entire reason that I've created this thread is to get feedback so that I could improve it.

Yeah, I've done some more designs so that the bottom tip of the triangle is a little higher and goes out to the left a little. I'll post images when I get home.
