They do matter and they matter the most part of it. Skills are lol nowadays. No one sees your kindness or your inner beauty or your down to earth nature. Its all money and how attractive you are externally that matters. There you have a female friend who said you ""I'm ugly already, so why try anyway? Look at all these cute successful people." ", you add another name there and let it be ME with the exception that I am a guy.

Oh come on. Look at Steven Tyler. He looks like a zombie. He's a great singer, a cool guy, the daddy of one of the most attractive girls on Hollywood, plus all the money one could ever dream of and yet he is doesn't look good. Look at Ronaldinho,he is probably the world's best soccer player at this time, Ronaldinho might be one of the funniest, honest, and nicest celebs around... but he's also one of the "ugliest", no offenseBiggrin. Yet both of them are successful.
Yes, there is proof that attractive people tend to be more successful but hard work and determination can make an unattractive person more successful.
People frequently fall prey to the halo effect: if a person is attractive, we naturally assume they also have good traits like intelligence and friendliness.

Attractiveness helps in jobs like being stewardess or a model but what good would your looks do in a profession like a doctor when you don't know a thing?

If you're a person that can't stand up for himself/herself attractiveness definitely helps.
Ugly or not you need to be confident.

I think if you are ugly you need to be exceptionally talented. Being above average won't help you.
Only the ones near will know what you really are, and a new person won't bother to find out.

That's the ugly truth, and that's why this truth isn't that successful. :p
