The things is, what do you use the rig for? Intel tends to be better for multitasking, but if you're playing games or such, an AMD will give you the same performance for cheaper.

I use multicore rendering for my games, and it helps me with rendering videos and stuff. A few friends and i have a youtube channel. Either than that, no reason. I just prefer intel over amd, atleast in the processors.

I used to stream on http://twitch.tv/cr33pyguy It's planetside which is quite a demanding game. However my rig is only mediocre (hardware - some 400$) though it still ran it with some framerate loss Tongue

Ghetto monitor stand, I like.

I would never be able to sit at that desk due to the positioning of your peripherals and the curved desk surface.

It actually feels pretty nice, maybe its just me. I like the way the desk curves and then the monitor kinda hangs out in the curvy area. Im cool with it.

You've probably become accustomed to it. I'm more of a straight edge desk guy.

I like it because i can rest my elbows on the desk while gaming.

That's a good point. My whole set-up is uncomfortable and shit. I just can't afford the desk I want (yet).

Mines from ikea, built in like 3 hours. Easiest shit on the planet to build, also came with a computer holder thing, but it restricted airflow so i threw it away.
