RE: Bluescreen's Apology Letter And Possibly Last Thread For A Couple Of Years - Eclipse - 01-29-2014 I'm not going to say that I got on with you that well, but in the part few weeks, you did seem... different. I believe there is something like that here too, but at that point I had been held in police custody for 7 hours, and prior to that I had been working with an assignment for about 4 hours and I couldn't possibly see a way out of that situation, and all I wanted to do was get back home so I could get some proper food and drink. Now, however we did talk to a lawyer, and he agreed to take my case. We have currently written about 3 pages of mistakes the police did, both during the raid, and the hearing. I believe we should have a pretty solid case. Police in my area tend to be a bit under-qualified though, and they might try to lie their way out of it. Luckily this lawyer is a good friend of my dad, and he has worked on a lot of similar cases in the past. Fun fact of the day; I did a little research, and a few years back someone got arrested for having 'pornography' on their computer, and it turned out to be one of the officers at this very station that had sold the computer to him from evidence, and told the person they took it from that they had broken it as a punishment. Just shows you how shitty the police in my town is compared to most places. Fucking sad. RE: Bluescreen's Apology Letter And Possibly Last Thread For A Couple Of Years - Jolly - 01-29-2014 Question #1: Who the heck stores all their storage devices with 'stuff' in one place... Question #2: Why the didn't you use an VPN? Isn't that pretty much gray/blackhat 101? Thats humorous if you really think a VPN does anything. The companies that run them take logs of everything and would give it up to the police in a heartbeat. And where do you suggest he stores it otherwise? Although he could of used preventative measures like truecrypt. Its unlikely anyone has other locations for their hard drives and such. Other than cloud services. RE: Bluescreen's Apology Letter And Possibly Last Thread For A Couple Of Years - sparechange - 01-30-2014 I don't know you bluescreen and seems like you are in a bit of trouble.. You are lucky you don't live in Aus... you wouldn't see daylight for a long time here..... Hopefully you get out of some trouble using the cop failings(technicalities) Good luck RE: Bluescreen's Apology Letter And Possibly Last Thread For A Couple Of Years - BlueScreen - 01-30-2014 (01-29-2014, 10:39 PM)Jolly Wrote: Question #1: Who the heck stores all their storage devices with 'stuff' in one place... Sorry for the late responce, but I had to clearify some shit to a few family members. 1; Well, I had been doing this without getting caught for such a long time, I decided I'd remove all security mesures, for simplisity reasons. I would have to give them the passcode anyways, so I don't see the issue with that. 2; I do run most of my shit through tor, and other services, but you can't expect somepony to be on a vpn 24/7, as the average internet user does a lot of downloading and uploading and a vpn in some third world country with less restrictions on this shit would mean I would get about 1 down .2 up rather than my current 10 down .93 up, which unless user is doing carding or selling the shit that would not be acceptable RE: Bluescreen's Apology Letter And Possibly Last Thread For A Couple Of Years - 3SidedSquare - 01-30-2014 You've been around for a hecka long time, and have always been good for a laugh. I'll be holding my breath and crossing my fingers that your legal troubles go well. Good luck. RE: Bluescreen's Apology Letter And Possibly Last Thread For A Couple Of Years - Customer - 01-30-2014 I wish you the best Bluey-Chan. Miss you lots.
