I should've been a little more clear with my post. I'm referring to other programs that I've experienced over the years.
i know some people just release fake cracked version of apps, they normally hsve viruses or just brick the app

I have a dedicated physical system that's segregated from the network with a VM Installed, solely used to test tools and applications prior to migrating them to my other PCs. In the event of Infection, I have nothing to lose.

With most applications, I find that It's best not to run It prior to applying the crack.
